Millboard large smoked oak project with glass surround and burnt cedar planters
I cannot recommend Ben & Joe enough, from the first time we met them, we felt entirely at ease and in safe hands.
Our decking project was the final part of an extension and renovation. When Ben first came to look, it was before any or the work had started so he really needed to have vision - and he didn't disappoint! We didn't know exactly what we wanted and in fact what we thought we wanted, i.e. to reinstate the old Millboard and extend the deck, would have been a huge mistake and we would have felt disappointed. Ben coaxed us into what he felt would work better with both our home & garden, he was absolutely right, thank goodness we listened to him.
Ben & Joe had to fit around the builder's schedule and of course the Covid situation, they managed this perfectly and were always able to come and meet with the builders if there were any queries, despite the distance from their home to ours, nothing was an issue or problem.
As the project progressed, their ideas evolved and enhanced the outside space, they had suggested components which we hadn't even considered e.g. the planters to break up the 'grey space'.
There were many tradesmen on site at the same time as Ben & Joe, every single one commented how easy the guys were to be around, and they were, an absolute delight! They had to be self-sufficient a lot of the time as we didn't have kitchen facilities, but they just got on with it and most days in the baking heat, still with smiling faces and you could tell they actually loved what they were creating.
The project came in on time and within budget, with the service and end result exceeding all our expectations. We absolutely love the final result - it is better than we ever imagined, we are looking forward to enjoying a full summer on our marvellous deck.
