We offer planting options with our Fountainscapes. Plants add colour and beauty, helping to naturalise the feature, aid good water quality and can be great for wildlife such as our pollinating insects.
The Aquascape Spillway Bowl is an example of one of our standalone water features, showcasing a graceful overflowing design that adds serenity and calm to any outside space. We have many other options for a standalone water feature.
We used decorative river pebbles to disguise the reservoir and to naturalise the area. Additionally, we can use driftwood, natural stone and moss to add more artistic interest to the feature.
This reservoir stores the water for the feature to operate and houses the pump. The basin is of tough design and can support the feature and large rocks and gravel.
A pump hidden within the reservoir recirculates the water back up to the spillway bowl or other feature. Gravity then sends the water back through the gravel into the basin.
Our fountainscapes are child and pet-friendly decorative water features that incorporate a recirculating fountain, adding the soothing sound and visual appeal of flowing water to outdoor spaces with no exposed standing body of water.
These features typically include bubbling urns, stacked slate fountains, or spillway bowls, with water flowing over them into a hidden underground reservoir where it is recirculated. Aquascape fountainscapes enhance outdoor aesthetics, attract birds and pollinators, and create a relaxing atmosphere.
In short, no. Fountainscapes require the least maintenance of all water features.
We will fit your Fountainscape with an Autodoser which, as the name suggests, automatically drip feeds your feature with beneficial bacteria to keep the water healthy.
During hot weather, you may need to top up the feature with a little water to compensate for evaporation.
Periodical removal of leaves from the Fountainscape will help to keep it looking and functioning at its best
